About the event
Led by Maestro Philip Clark, the ASO Spring Concert promises an afternoon of musical exploration and artistry. The program features Arno Babadjanian’s rare Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, lovingly restored and transcribed by Maestro Clark from old recordings. World-renowned violinist Dr. Nuné Melikian, a noted Babajanian expert, will be the soloist, bringing unique insight and brilliance to this rediscovered masterpiece.
The concert also includes Dvořák’s lively Scherzo Capriccioso in D♭ major, Op. 66, a work known for its playful rhythms and vivid orchestration. Respighi/Rossini’s La Boutique Fantasque adds charm and whimsy to the afternoon with its colorful ballet suite inspired by Rossini’s music
